Reba Nell McEntire-Blackstock

Reba (Nell) McEntire was born on March 28, 1955 in McAlester, Oklahoma. As a kid she grew up poor but man, did that family pull it off and they made it through, now, only to be the best family in that southern state.

In the late 1900's, Reba and her sisters made a "band" and had two little "hits", God Never Cried and If I Could Only Be You. Sadly, only Reba got a record deal at that time.

Reba has released over 30 albums in roughly 30 years in the music business. In 1994, when she was 39, Reba wrote and released a #1 Bestseller, Reba: My Story, about her life up to that time.

Then again in 1999, she released another #1 Bestseller, Comfort from a Country Quilt, about southern country life and how rewarding that and quilts really are.

In 2001, she ventured off from music and books and filled in for Bernadette Peters in Annie Get Your Gun, starring as lead Annie Oakley.
